They’re warning Europe now! Might get serious.

Not feeling bullish on the Euro?
I am, my long was losing in the beginning of the day but came up. Eurozone will get that gas flowing one way or another. An agreement will be made between the parties.

I wonder if major Euro players told Zelenskyy to put this pipeline disruption strategy up in the beginning of the conflict because of the crazy inflation at the time or what.

Right they wouldn’t have done it unless there was a plan in place and they’ve had the time now to put that in action. Sounds like Turkey and the US will pick up the slack along with Scandinavian producers.

Longterm they’re talking about Morocco but I think they’re going to have to revisit nuclear sooner than later.

This convo led me to find out that Russia’s grip on energy needs is crazy tight. I was thinking why does Europe even deal with Russia when they have so many active nuclear reactors? I discovered Russia controls a big portion of the world’s uranium conversion and uranium enrichment capacity. Not to mention Russian made reactors are operated throughout Europe.

The discussion was done in Ukrainian/Russian but is dubbed in English with some translation errors

Interesting points

- a lot of the aid going to Ukraine is siphoned off by intermediaries in the US and most goes to jump starting US industries.

- Zelenskyy believes Ukraine was abandoned by world powers that were required to come to its defense when Russia took Crimea as agreed during the Budapest Memorandum.

- Zelenskyy is willing to accept an end to the war if the Ukrainian lands not under Russian occupation are accepted into NATO, Ukraine is armed to prevent another invasion and continued sanctions on Russian energy.

What happens when Trump is back in office? I know the aid will pretty much halt. But how does this affect things longterm?
