I wonder if major Euro players told Zelenskyy to put this pipeline disruption strategy up in the beginning of the conflict because of the crazy inflation at the time or what.
This convo led me to find out that Russia’s grip on energy needs is crazy tight. I was thinking why does Europe even deal with Russia when they have so many active nuclear reactors? I discovered Russia controls a big portion of the world’s uranium conversion and uranium enrichment capacity. Not to mention Russian made reactors are operated throughout Europe.Right they wouldn’t have done it unless there was a plan in place and they’ve had the time now to put that in action. Sounds like Turkey and the US will pick up the slack along with Scandinavian producers.
Longterm they’re talking about Morocco but I think they’re going to have to revisit nuclear sooner than later.
