A lot of moving parts to put in place. I think they will sooner than later but an F-16 isn’t really a magic bullet and Russia still has tons of anti air so it’s not like they’ll be able to do more than they have been with their MiGs.

I believe they will. Publicly, the details are kept a mystery and in front of question marks for obvious reasons. When it is announced, they will give a fake number and delivery date.
Part of the cooperation is keeping Russia out of the loop and preventing them from being able to keep an accurate tally on Ukrainian equipment.
Much like the strikes in Mauripol and deep Russian back lines over the weekend, Russia needs to be kept in the dark until the last possible second and its too late for them to react. This means being publicly fickle.
From what I read Russia would see that as a serious act of aggression..as well as enforcing a no fly zone.
I donT believe America wants to escalate it to that extreme just yet.
