They paid these hackers off...
No other choice
And they were allegedly russian because of the TTP they used but not confirmed to actually be russian
They weren’t acting on behalf of russia tho
Russia allows them a safe space to operate for a small cut..
Colonial had no choice but to pay up.. Now that they got their system back they have to completely tear down their operating systems and rebuild from scratch and make it hack proof
Or pay the hackers and track the money trail back to the hackers and bag them
