Exclusive: Mueller Is Holding Top Secret Intelligence That Will Sink the Trump Presidency

Another day, another bombshell emanating from the Special Counsel investigation into President Donald Trump and his links to the Kremlin. We now have more proof that Robert Mueller really does know everything about 2016—and I can exclusively tell you how he knows it.

This latest reveal comes from a legal screw-up of gargantuan proportions. Yesterday, attorneys for Paul Manafort, the president’s disgraced campaign manager for the decisive phase of the 2016 election, filed papers with the Justice Department trying to prevent their client from spending the rest of his life in a federal penitentiary. They asserted that Manafort did not lie to Team Mueller, as the Special Counsel believes, but in the process, they made an epic redaction fail that blows the case wide open.

Manafort’s lawyers accidentally revealed that Team Mueller believes—and Manafort confirmed—that their client shared campaign polling data with Konstantin Kilimnik, one of Manafort’s closest friends and a longtime business partner. Moreover, Manafort conceded, he had discussed a “Ukraine peace plan” with Kilimnik “on more than one occasion.” Worst of all, Manafort met with Kilimnik in Madrid to discuss these matters, he admitted, without saying when (Manafort’s spokesman later stated the Madrid meeting was in January or February 2017).

Once you know who Konstantin Kilimnik is, the gravity of these revelations comes into clear focus. The elusive Russian fixer was indicted by Team Mueller last June on obstruction of justice charges for assisting Manafort with witness tampering; previously, the Special Counsel described Kilimnik as having “ties to a Russian intelligence service and had such ties in 2016.”

That Kilimnik is a former officer in Russian military intelligence, the notorious GRU, is widely known; indeed, Kilminik was open about his affiliation for years. It was Manafort’s close and continuing links to Kilimnik that caused his abrupt departure from the Trump campaign in August 2016. Since then, we’ve learned that Manafort’s collaboration with Kilimnik goes back over a decade, including actively working against American interests abroad as far back as 2005. All of this raises troubling questions regarding Manafort’s relationship with the Kremlin. As I stated a few months ago:

That the political operative-turned-convicted felon who helped Donald Trump win the White House in 2016 is some sort of clandestine fixer for Moscow now seems certain. And he may be even worse than that. The possibility that Paul Manafort wound up at the heart of the Trump campaign not despite his deep Kremlin connections, rather because of them, is a matter that needs explanation urgently, and may hold the key to the entire mystery about the president’s secret relationship with Russia.

His attorneys’ redaction error takes this to a new level. Manafort’s passing of polling data to Kilimnik is highly disturbing, given Team Mueller’s accusations regarding GRU’s role in weaponizing cyber-espionage against our 2016 election. Employing a known Kremlin operative to broker a peace plan for Ukraine raises troubling questions too. But the decisive reveal is Manafort’s admission of meeting with Kilimnik in Madrid in early 2017.

This looks unmistakably like a clandestine intelligence operation to anyone even marginally acquainted with spycraft. Russian intelligence routinely uses “former” agents like Kilimnik to gain access to foreigners and their secrets; Kilimnik, when pressed, hardly denied his GRU affiliation. In a rare interview last spring, he threatened a reporter who took his picture: “Don’t show that picture. If you show that picture, I will kill you… GRU will kill you as well.”

President Trump’s consistent “no collusion” claims, ailing for months as Mueller’s cards are revealed, one by one, are now officially moribund. Manafort has admitted that he was in touch with Kilimnik during and after Trump’s presidential run, regarding campaign matters, in what appears to be a clandestine back-channel between Team Trump and the Kremlin.

The big open question is how much Donald Trump knew about Manafort’s secret dealings with Kilimnik in 2016 and after. Given the president’s well-documented micro-managerial ways, plus the fact that he’s known Manafort for decades, it’s impossible to imagine he was wholly unaware of his own campaign’s hush-hush back-channel to Moscow.

What really ought to worry the president and his inner circle is what Mueller knows about the election and has yet to reveal. The Special Counsel doesn’t have to disclose to suspects how it knows certain things, and it’s apparent that Mueller and his investigators asked Manafort about his dealings with Kilimnik, which he lied about—and the ostrich jacket connoisseur is now trying to come clean before he gets a de facto life sentence in prison.

That Mueller knew about Manafort’s 2016 dealings with Kilimnik is no surprise, given that the two men communicated frequently for many years, and the Special Counsel seized all of those communications from Manafort. But how did Mueller know about their secret Madrid meeting in early 2017, despite Manafort’s denials?

The answer lies in a highly secretive intelligence program run by the National Security Agency (NSA). It’s called travel tracking and its existence, like so many NSA top-secret operations, was revealed by Edward Snowden, the disgruntled agency IT contractor who fled to Moscow in June 2013 with over a million classified documents from the NSA and other U.S. spy agencies.

Travel tracking means that the NSA and its Five Eyes Anglosphere intelligence partners know who’s going where by air, and when, anywhere. They can even crack into WiFi and mobile phones in flight, according to top secret-plus documents stolen and leaked by Snowden. Unless you’re traveling under alias documents of the kind issued by higher-end spy services, the NSA and its close friends know where you’re headed. :ohhh:

There ends the mystery of how Mueller and his investigators knew about Manafort and Kilimnik’s off-record rendezvous in Madrid at the beginning of Donald Trump’s presidency. It also means that the Special Counsel knows the truth regarding Michael Cohen’s alleged summer 2016 trip to Prague to parley with Kremlin spies on behalf of his then-client, our 45th president. :ohhh:

“Mueller really does know everything,” joked a former Intelligence Community (IC) senior official whom I’ve known for years. “The IC gave the Special Counsel everything we had that might be of relevance to their investigation, most of it came from NSA.” Which hardly surprises, since something like 80 percent of the actionable intelligence in the IC emanates from the NSA, the world’s most productive spy agency.

There is palpable irony here, since the Snowden Operation of 2013, in which the Kremlin weaponized disinformation about the NSA with the help of WikiLeaks, gave Moscow the Active Measures template which they employed again in 2016 to help elect Donald Trump. Unfortunately for them, Trump and his retinue didn’t pay close attention to Snowden’s revelations about the NSA’s espionage capabilities. If they had, perhaps they would have been less careless about their secret dealings with the Kremlin.

You can't hide it anymore.

No one wants to ask what the fukk Tad Devine was doing this whole time.

Tad Devine knew Sanders for a DECADE at that point Sanders decides to run for president. Tad Devine helped Sanders 2006 senate run.

And this is the same time ...literally....Tad Devine is working with Manafort.

We MUST know if any of that hacked POLLING DATA from Hillary Clinton data in 2015 ended up in Manafort's hands!

Tad Devine could very well be - more than likely is - dirty, that's great Nap but THERE WAS NO HACK.
Hillary her self has never claimed there was, why, because there was not. So the entire premise of this campaign of yours is FALSE.

In other words: after the update that introduced the bug, someone in the Sanders campaign noticed that Clinton scores, including support scores, were available in the query builder described and depicted above. Uretsky and his staff then filtered lists of voters that all Democratic campaigns share using these scores.

The access logs the VAN automatically generates have not found their way to into the press, and this isn’t surprising, as they would be near-unintelligible to all but a few NGP VAN engineers. What has been released is a summary of the logs, presumably written by just such an employee.

They tell us that Uretsky and his staff created a series of lists with names like “HFA Support <30”, which we can assume is a list of voters whose Clinton support score is below 30 percent. The searches are semi-systematic: in one series of queries for voters in South Carolina, they first include supporters who meet a very lax cutoff (60–100 percent), then a marginally more stringent one (50–100 percent), then those least likely to support (>30 percent), and finally those who could go either way (30–70 percent).

In addition to the standard turnout and support scores, they employed variants titled “Primary Prioritization” and “Combined Persuasion.” They only looked at states with primaries before or on Super Tuesday (Alabama, Texas, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Iowa, Colorado, Arkansas, Virginia, Texas, and Tennessee) or shortly afterward (Utah and Florida).

But the focus on the possibility of an export is misplaced. NGP VAN’s official statement makes clear that he did not have sufficient permissions to do so. But even if he had, the scores are only useful for filtering VAN entries, so there is no reason to export them. It would not be feasible for the Sanders campaign to write its own software to make use of such an export in time for the primaries. It was the VAN or nothing.

It would have been useful to have lists within the VAN of, for example, those voters who were fervent Hillary supporters, such that they could be excluded from future campaign interventions. And Uretsky and his staff created several such lists.

But as we’ve seen, the VAN automatically logs information about queries executed, such that any lists generated with the Clinton scores could have been identified as such. Uretsky claimed to know as much in the MSNBC interview, and to judge by his LinkedIn profile, this must be true — he has been working as a VAN administrator on and off since at least 2008.

What Really Happened With the DNC’s “Datagate”?

I'm going to allow you to read the rest as well as a pretty fair assessment of how Hillary's camp spun this entire incident to their advantage. This all comes from a developer who worked for NGP VAN right around the time of the incident who worked on the very scoring system that became available via the bug to each parties camp. Sander's data guy was fired, bug was fixed by the vendor and the DNC ultimately gave Sander's campaign access back because the action was in bad form/ethics but nowhere near serious. Especially considering that Hillary's campaign would have had the same bugged access to the Sanders campaign.

TL;DR for those nowhere near obsessed as Nap: a software version bug allowed all campaigns to see scoring data fields used to score likelihoods of different criteria or probability of support of a candidate that is supposed to be unique and private to each campaign. The Sanders campaign was able to run multiple queries against these scores - all of which was captured by internal logging - but could not export any of their findings. The parent company discovered the bug, reported it to the DNC and fixed it.

man, the thing that i really want to know is how early on in the investigation did mueller get the full picture.

in other words, did mueller meet with the nsa one day shortly after he was appointed and jus received in bulk every file the NSA had on any/all correspondence/communications/records concerning all targeted individuals?

fact

I would think it was more of a "Hey Bob, just let us know what you need", and as his team start unraveling the scheme, and started targeting individuals, they went to whatever departments had the info they needed, and ate.

Dude are you really quoting the Jacobin? BRUH. REALLY? They will jump in front of ANY anti-Sanders bullet. They are NOT reliable. I'm sorry. i'm not going to let you do this in good faith.

And moreover, you're wrong. THEY EXPORTED DATA AS SHOWN BY THE LOGS!

How did JOSH URETSKY (the Sanders staffer who did the hack) KNOW ABOUT THE ZERO-DAY EXPLOIT? They planned to have FOUR people do the hack within the span of an HOUR!

Thats COORDINATION TO STEAL INFORMATION:

The actual DNC staffer says this is BS and that there was an actual devastating data breach!

Amy Dacey was the CEO of the Democratic National Committee:

As a result of this analysis, NGP VAN found that campaign staff on the Sanders campaign, including the campaign’s national data director, had accessed proprietary information about which voters were being targeted by the Clinton campaign — and in doing so violated their agreements with the DNC.

These staffers then saved this information in their personal folders on the system, and over the course of the next day, we learned that at least one staffer appeared to have generated reports and exported them from the system.

None of this is in dispute. It’s fully documented in the system logs. And these details reveal nothing less than a serious violation of the agreements governing the use of this data. Underscoring that fact is the point that the Sanders campaign has fired their national data director and indicated further disciplinary actions may be taken pending the results of their own investigation.

When we understood what initially happened, we asked the Sanders campaign to tell us who exactly accessed Hillary for America information, share their understanding of what data was accessed, describe what was done with that information, and detail how the campaign intended to discipline the staffers involved.

On Thursday, further NGP VAN analysis revealed that it was very likely that a user had taken data out of the system during the breach. Upon learning that, the DNC had to suspend the Sanders campaign’s access to the voter file to ensure the integrity of the system. This action was not taken to punish the Sanders campaign — it was necessary to ensure that the Sanders campaign took appropriate steps to resolve the issue and wasn’t unfairly using another campaign’s data. This temporary suspension was well within the DNC’s authority. Moreover, the DNC was left with little choice in the matter when the Sanders campaign declined to respond in a timely manner to the requests for assistance with an investigation.

The question is....how did this Russian American dude working for Tad Devine's run campaign JOSH URETSKY learn about the 0-day???

Even subsequent reporting revealed that there was a much more serious breach: www.time.com/4155185/bernie-sanders-hillary-clinton-data/

Beyond simply reviewing the data, the logs show the Sanders staffers took deliberate steps to harvest and store the information. According to the logs, the Sanders staff created from scratch no fewer than 24 lists—consisting entirely of data pulled down from the Clinton campaign’s database—and saved them to their personal folders.

The logs show the Sanders campaign accessed the Clinton data for nearly one hour beginning around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday. The Sanders staffers were apparently able to view unique voter information along with accompanying information about how likely the voters were to vote for the various candidates, crucial information that the Clinton campaign has likely spent millions of dollars to collect.

...

In addition, the Sanders campaign has said that it did not download or retain any of the Clinton campaign’s data, and Weaver reiterated that claim on Friday afternoon at a press conference in Washington. “This campaign does not possess any data, does not retain any data and does not want any data,” said Weaver.

But the records from the NGP VAN software indicate that Sanders staffers did in fact save data to its own folders.

he probably had an accurate image if the overall scene from the beginning.
i doubt that they just dropped everything on his lap on day one and said "go get 'em champ!"

that would be a recipe for disaster.

this is a great movie btw.

Why?

Yesterday we got proof polling data was given to the Russians. Enough is enough.

Tad Devine oversaw a campaign where Hillary’s voter data was hacked. People need to push for this to be answered.

Until yesterday I had no reason to even remember Tad Devine was still alive.
One of my favorite scenes in Goodfellas is when Billy Batts insists that he wasn't insulting Tommy and that he shouldn't take his comments about the shine box, personal:

"Okay..." - Jimmy Conway :ehh:
