So what have we learned today?
-The FBI is in fact currently conducting and investigation on any possible collusion between the Trump team and Russia
-Trump's accusation of Obama directing Trump Tower to be wiretapped is baseless
-It has been confirmed that BOTH the DNC and RNC were hacked, and only DNC info was leaked
-Both the FBI and CIA's position is that Russia was behind Guccifer 2.0 and the distribution of hacked email to Wikileaks
-Trump's claim during the hearing that the FBI and CIA confirmed no collusion was shot down
-Mike Flynn was ethered something terrible and may face criminal investigation
-The GOP (at least the GOP Congress members on the panel today) are trying to focus in on the leaks of classified information and the prosecution of the leakers
-The Democratic members of the panel mostly focused on alleged ties between Russia and Trump
My prediction?
-Flynn's the fall guy. He's most likely going to face criminal charges for not disclosing foreign contacts and not registering as an advocate for a foreign power.
-Paul Manafort may face criminal charges should there be definitive proof of his ties to Russia put forth by Comey.
-Trump's impeachment isn't a sure thing at this point, but he's certainly going down that road. If he doesn't move shrewdly in the next few months there's going to be an impeachment hearing before the year is out.
-If Trump is impeached, he will be forced to resign. I cannot see Trump having the reservation to answer questions as intelligently as Comey or Rogers did today. If anything, the way he words his statements and his pattern of refusal to clarify his statements would damn him.
-If nothing else, the legitimacy of Trump's presidency has taken a huge blow today. Not sure if it's been marred to the point that he can't repair his image, but this Russia story is not by any means going to go away.
