I think until Flynn flipped, it was more of feeling sorry for Pence given the bullshyt and fukkery caused by Trump. Since Flynn flipping/revealing the timeline, and that Atlantic article which shows how self-serving he is (not to mention ratting out his fraternity over the kegs) I think more of what he did will come to light. Seems according to the article he's purposely tried keeping an arms length from anything that happens.
