you asked, im answering :yeshrug:

Russ gonna be out the league in the next 2-3 years so for some teams, they might as well start the young guy
That logic makes no sense. Kenny Pickett ain't it. The NFL ain't minor league baseball where you play garbage players for development. Them mafukkas gotta win asap.

if the logic made no sense, Denver would've kept him in the first place instead of paying $85 million a year to NOT have him as their quarterback

It’s not even just that. People know that the Bears are taking Williams, so why would you give up a high pick to get him when you can wait until after the draft and get him for cheaper?
Yeah Ryan Poles fukked this up. Tried to play the whole "We don't know what we doing at QB yet" card, when the intel was out there. I am sure he turned down good deals to try and get a better deal, now it will bite him in the ass. The loser here though is Fields because he gonna be a backup somewhere now because he gonna go for the low.

If you really think Russ was so bad he was worth paying 85 million too without him on your team, then I don't know what to tell you. Have you seen a real garbage QB? If not, look at Kenny Pickett or Zach Wilson stats. Broncos caved in to an egomaniac in Sean Payton because he Jeff Fisher with one superbowl win.

Good fit for him. How the fukk wasn't more teams calling Russ though? You literally getting a proven starter and potential hall of famer for the same price as a special teams player. :mindblown:
There just aren't that many realistic openings. Raiders, Steelers, Vikings and Falcons are the only ones who aren't either locked into a guy, still letting a young QB develop or are about to draft one next month. Two of them spoke to Russ and the other two are talking to Cousins.

Same reason the Justin Fields market only exists on twitter.

Season saving move. Pickett + arthur smith was gonna be a disaster

With that said, I hate this team. 2 explosive WRs, a potential top 5 TE, yet they play like they’re stuck in the 90s….so they sign mfin Arthur smith. People forgetting that he was the OC for all those Titans teams who inexplicably won games. Now he’s with the Steelers who inexplicably win games. The most mid of mid teams
This… I was shocked when I looked at his resume and saw all his offensive jobs… nothing about his resume says points, score or offensively related. Considering the talent he had in Atlanta it’s mind blowing he has a career

:mjlol: at cats acting like Russ didn't do elite level QB work during his career/best years. Played behind weak pass blocking lines for the longest just because of his ability to make plays with his feet, definitely not game manager shyt.
A lot of those sacks weren’t on the line. Russ breaking out the pocket and holding onto the ball waiting for the perfect pass attempt was cause for a good number of them
