Yea, she was stupid to get herself involved with a relationship with a man who has multiple baby mamas. However, people live and learn. We all have experienced trials of errors. We can't keep condemning a woman who acknowledged what she has done wrong in her past relationship. She made some correction in her life and moved on and found herself a better man. Russell probably made the same mistake as Ciara in choosing the white girl he had married, or did something wrong that may have created the split between him and his ex-wife. He learned from his errors, moved on, and found happiness with Ciara.

Honestly I don't have too many problems with black women (at least not as much as I do with women in general), but bullshyt like this has to stop in order for this community to excel

Sure we can. And I intend to. These women disgust me because at the end of the day, they're just low-quality, self-absorbed mothers. There's no way to avoid that. I don't care how good they actually treat their kid or try to take care of them on a 1:1 basis, choosing a bad mate and having your child's father be a source of confusion rather than security in their life is a poor maternal decision.

For example, my girl has a friend who has 2 kids by 2 different men. Let's call this friend Angie.

With the first man... Angie thought he was going to be a pro-football player because he got signed to a team's practice squad. She had a kid about 10 months after he was signed (8 months after he was released ).

The truly mindblowing, crackhead behavior came with the second kid.

Angie'd started seeing a dude, let's call him Duane, who was in and out of part time jobs.

Despite both of them being religious people , Angie and the dude got intimate fairly quickly. About 3 months into them messing around (calling it a relationship is a stretch), Angie and my girl are talking, w/ my girl being like "Angie...I just want to remind you to be careful. Make sure your birth control is tight. Use the $25 I gave you." Angie responds like, "I know, I know. But me and Duane talked about it and if anything happens I'm good."

At this point, my girl is talking to me about her convos with Angie like .

"What kind of people even think allow that as a possibility 3 months into an uncommitted relationship, Reality???"

"Angie is talking pregnancy with a guy who hasn't had a stable job for more than 2 months, Reality. What the fukk?"

So, not too long after, through an STD screening that came back positive for chlamydia Angie finds out that she's pregnant. She and Duane, religious folks that they are, decide to keep the kid.

A month later, Angie dumps Duane.

That's right, after she got pregnant with his kid, Angie dumps Duane saying his shyt's not together enough for them to be together, he doesn't have a stable job, he's a loser, etc.

At this point, my girl is just like.

So my girl has a summer cookout at her house and invites Angie along w/ some mutual friends of ours over. By this time Angie's probably at 7 months, and over dinner she starts talking shyt about Duane.

"He's broke."
"He can't keep a job."
"He keeps calling leaving messages saying he wants to be there for me and my son. But I don't return the calls. "

I could barely look at this chick as she's talking

All this to say, i think some of these decisions certain black women make wouldn't be made if we had a bit more shame in the system. Shame has a place in society imo. Some of these women are so reckless when it comes to providing a father for their son.

Your post seemed to suggest that a woman could switch and get with the type of man she previously wouldn't have been attracted to. That is settling which is what Ciara is doing and Russell (the antithesis of what she finds attractive personality wise) is being settled for.

Personally, I don't advocate that type of situation because it often bring about a lot of problems like those I mentioned.

Ciara has dated all types (despite what she said in ONE interview). All of them have been in the industry and none of them are thugs in my opinion, but they are to you black white supremacist.
