You have to evaluate the cap hit first, there’s a reason they’re waiting for the new nfl year to beginWow.
Personally, I didn't think it was a good fit at all for Russ or the Broncos.
I'm surprised they didn't at least try to trade him for players/picks in return.
Homey struggled for 2 years and gets $40 Ms next year no matter what. I'd said he did alrightLet this be a lesson to other QBs in asking for more money at signing as teams will bench you to prevent you from getting injured making the guaranteed for injury less powerful.
Russ should have held their feet to the fire and got more leverage and security than he did

It was obvious last year during the beginning of the season that the athleticism just wasn't there anymore, but he got the benefit of a doubt because of Hackett.Russell Wilson’s game relied far more on athleticism than we actually thought. People were talking about how he we gonna be a great MVP level player in his late 30’s and even early 40’s like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning Or Aaron Rodgers.
He’s no longer a difference maker(and hasn’t been in years) and is basically a 2019 Teddy Bridgewater style game manager at this point.
Russ probably never imagined it would have went this badly this quickly.Let this be a lesson to other QBs in asking for more money at signing as teams will bench you to prevent you from getting injured making the guaranteed for injury less powerful.
