For me, after Kawhi won his 2nd ring/finals mvp I was good. Invested a lot of years convincing people he'd be a superstar and watching his growth. But..I also said the Clippers should not have given him that huge contract after the numerous injuries. And look at how things have turned out. Smh.
Front offices keep thinking it's a sunken cost if they don't resign guys. They'd rather have the names and be mediocre or suck than focus on the future. Well, you gave away a young superstar in SGA and a ton of picks and signed injury prone guys to huge deals and will have nothing to show after 4 seasons.
