Morgan freeman had the answer weeks ago: black writers. Not just black writers but writers of different races and creeds who want to tell different stories. Look at the Coen brothers. I don't need them to tell stories about black characters; they're going to write about what they know and what they understand. So rather than look to them to write stories sbout cats who look like me, I'd rather have someone who looks like me want to tell that story. So it starts with the talent behind the camera first and foremost
