I'm likely giving him too much credit here, but being familiar with Iverson's game/playing style and impact on the NBA is not mutually exclusive with watching him during his playing days. You know, social media and all that

I've heard plenty of athletes say the same thing. A lot of folks like to go out and DO as opposed to watch sports. I know the more shyt I am doing outside in relation to physical activity, the less I am worried about sports.

Also as a kid, sports were like snapshots. I never sat down and watched games like that.

I got a cousin from Decatur, GA and I remember when this dude used to come up north to visit us when we were kids in the '90s, he couldn't play video games for shyt. He would flat out say we don't play video games down there.

Then we go outside to play, and somehow the neighbor's dog got loose......this nikka out running the fukking dog. Best fukking athlete in the neighborhood that whole summer. Where did you hear Pro athletes say they didn't watch sports growing up? Talking about Kosta Koufous or Darko Milicic cause he didnt have a tv or some shyt. You'll hear players beginning to play in hs because they were overly tall and it was embarrassing that they WEREN'T playing ball up to that point.

Thats like saying you been playing heavy metal guitar your whole life but didn't listen to heavy metal growing up.
