But why does it matter? I'm sure hipster cacs like a lot of foods that you eat but it dont make you enjoy it any less.

I like what I like and I dont gaf who shares my taste.

Matters because hipster cac/rap smark acceptance pretty much retired Mike from the rapper he was before the group...he pretty much exclusively only raps over these wack ass beats trading verses with el p's corny ass now...the shyt is legitimately infuriating

Can't please everyone these days I guess. If he stuck to his previous formula, we'd then bytch that he demonstrated no real artistic growth and is the reason why he's no longer relevant. :francis:

I say good thing he met El-P. Mike has been at his best since...:yeshrug:

I hear you but Mike is on a much bigger platform than ever and he hasn't compromised his core values either. Killer Mike is one of the more recognizable names in rap now, has fans young and old, of all colors. His career is solid, lots of tours, merch, media interviews. Be happy for dude

RTJ had to grow on me, took spinning the last album a few times to appreciate the different sound. Its nice to see a GROUP, let alone a rap group making noise

Yeah, kudos to Mike...he has his songs being played in commercials for big Hollywood films, gets interviews on MSNBC and CNN and all that good shyt...I have no question this is all just great for him... I just kinda wish one of my favorite rappers wasn't wasting his prime making cornball music that makes my head hurt over production that sounds like techno mixed with the goddamn streets of rage 2 soundtrack, with about 40% of the verses not by him but instead some guy who (this is probably the nicest way to put this) who'd I prefer to never have to listen to rap at any point in my fukking life...I'm kinda the opposite, where rtj had to grow on you...I started off flat out forcing myself to fukk with it just because I've always been a huge fan of killer mike ... I thought "hey this is pretty cool, a nice lil side project...not really for me, but at least I get to hear a couple new like verses till his next real project drops" ... then cac hipster media fell in love with it...and now, like 6 years later or some shyt, I find myself loathing the very concept of this shyt more and more every time they drop a song...muhfukkas in the thread are all ":krs: omg 2 Danny Brown features :gladbron:" I tried force-listening to the album for a 2nd time just now in the whip, and bout ten seconds after I heard that wack ass nikka danny browns annoying grating fukking voice is when I had to turn that shyt off:scust:

I concede, I've lost...guess i just have to move on
