Absolutely, that was my ideal scenario the whole time. But maybe this was the optimal outcome from a value perspective. Maybe Armstead at $17M/year + 1st rounder was better than Buckner at $21M/year + ? rounder. Buck is def worth that money, but we have very solid DL even without him, I can see the value in diversifying that strength elsewhere

This sucks right now, but we'll see when the smoke clears. Question is, who are we targeting with that 13th rounder now.

Yeah, he's worth every penny of his new deal and I wish him the best. He was getting up there with Pat in terms of a great player who held us down in the bad years. This is the part of the business that sucks.

It’s gonna take a min for the hurt to wear off but I can see us grabbing a WR as Sanders is gonna walk. Then trading our first for more picks slide down and fill out the roster

Very much. He was wrecking before he went down. I think they’re betting that they can get one of the reserve guys to make the most of they’re opportunities now that Buck is gone. Still stings tho
