Bro....cardio just fukks with your gains bro

:to: I know breh. Last year I was training for the NY Marathon and whatever I gained lifting, I lost with those long runs. I've cut back ALOT on the running this year and its like night and day. At the most, i'd do a 10K but most of my races are 5Ks and 4-milers. I'm seriously considering the marathon for 2015 but will modify the hell out of my training so I don't lose any muscle that is so fukkin hard to build in the first place

I do 5k's when the temp reaches 70. Training runs are usually 3-5 miles, a couple times a week.

There is a 7 mile race in the midwest that I do every year. It's up a huge hill the first mile, then gradually downhill for 2+ miles, then back uphill for 2+ miles (hell), then back down the huge hill to finish. Harder than shyt. I hope to do it in an hour (personal best is 56 mins).

I'm getting ready to train for Bay To Breakers next month in San Francisco. It'll be my 5th B2B though I haven't done one in seven years because I didn't like the previous ING Sponsorship :camby: They got a new sponsor now so I'm interested again. Missed the fukkery that goes on before, during & after the race and that Hayes Street hill is no joke :whew: My best time for that race is around 48 minutes for the 12K (7.5 miles)

I'll be running between 2-5 times a week averaging 5-10 miles each run over hilly trails for the most part along the American River Bike Trail.

I'll be doing more races this year including a half marathon in Mammoth Lakes , CA in June that starts at nearly 10,000 ft above sea level. The challenge of running in high elevation and thin air interests me .

I was surpirsed how quick I recovered from running the LA Marathon last month. I definitely want to run that race again next year. Easily one of the best racing experiences I ever had. I want to run the Portland Marathon as well in October but I want to get some more races under my belt this year before I decide to do so.

I think I'll do a 5K this summer. I hate running like a mufuka, but I'll push myself to finish it within 25 mins. I did it in 2011 and finished in about 30 mins, it was last minute as hell, just woke up and ran lol
