I still can't believe they're just going to shadowdrop it. I know it's a known game, but I feel you still need to have some marketing. Also, the devs for Clair Obscur must be angry about this because you're own marketing partner is going to screw you over.
Marketing would be a waste of money.

Agree on the release date but MS seems to have stopped giving a fukk.

I think it should still have some type of cycle because the leak showed their also selling physical version too. So, I think building a bit of hype with pre-orders can still go a long way. I am not even talking about traditional marketing but giving a week or 2 period for pre-orders seem wise. However, it's Oblivion and you just have to show the updated graphics and people will buy

Agreed, that Microsoft is in that mode right now because they just stepped on a game the've marketed for months lol. Plus, they're releasing like 5 games within a month like damn let a person's wallet breathe

I think it has to do with the end of the fiscal year/qtr? They got a significant boost last year with fallout so maybe they’re trying not to hit under that for their games division.

otherwise i have no idea why they are piling up releases in april

Skyblivion devs like "WTF yall coulda told us"

They quite literally did, yeeears ahead of time. That mod's developers have had constant back and forth communication with Bethesda's legal team for like half a decade now to make absolute sure their work wouldn't spark any copyright issues with an official remaster/remake of the original. They've ironically known about this remaster long before any insider or even the original Microsoft court doc leaked it.

Well then it must be a labor of love, cause I couldn't imagine wasting time remastering a game that was already being remastered. Come to think of it, that's probably why they're taking so long. Beth probably okay'd Skyblivion only if it released after their remaster. :russ:

That most likely explains everything because buisness-wise it's a headscratcher. I understand different genres but like 6 games releasing within a month is unheard of tbh.

They're def looking at things more revenue driven than subscribers. There's no way the average playstation gamer is going to purchase Forza, Indy, Oblivion, and Doom. They're most likely just going to purcahse 2 and wait for other on sale because too many games to buy at once.
