i seriousuly don't get this square enix hate...they've een doing a good job..sleeping dogs was amazing, tomb raider is amazing, just cause 2 is still piff and i still play it occasionally, hitman even htough wasn't in the same vein as blood money was still enjoyable, can we forget deus ex human revolution..i admit their japanese franchises have been stale but i'm not some nostalgic prick who yearns for the past..REMAKES ARE NOT GOING TO SAVE SQUARE ENIX..most of the vets who were involved in the past classics have since moved on, retired...square enix needs to evolve..stop focusing on style and graphics and go back to what it was known for...gameplay and story telling

I think part of it originates from the fact that they've teased us with a final fantasy 7 remake for years and all we got was a shytty DVD. The whole FF7 remake thing is the equivalent to Detox right now, I don't think anyone would care if they release it now.

They also stopped a fan made remake of Chrono Trigger when it was like 98% done. Just because.

Those and the past FF's have been underwhelming are the reasons why no one really fcuks with Square Enix.

that trailer was released a year after ff8 came out, and it was no where near as popular as ff7. ff7 tech demo came out nearly 10 years from the original and it captured people hearts again who loved the game, SE knows this...and that graphical jump in 06 was like , they had us fiendin to cop ps3's.
