Pretty much. With very few exeptions, they sucked for the most part of 04'-07'.
Yeah, I don't know why everyone thinks that if the PG mandate was lifted that the product would all of a sudden enter a new golden age. Cursing, middle fingers, smacking around women and dikk jokes don't make a quality product. If they can't write a consistently good "clean" product, how can they be expected to write a consistently good TV-14 product? It's not the TV show rating that's the problem, it's the writers.

Well WCW had superior writers (Eric Bishoff and co.) at the time that could come up with entertaining storylines without resorting to extremes. WWF's attitude era was just Vince's desperate attempt at overtaking WCW with extreme stuff (i.e.: Stone Cold excessive cursing, bra/panty matches, near nudity, mature story arcs, etc.)
