Funny how Assad can unleash hell on his people but not fire a single shot to get the Golan Heights back from Israel.
I think the meme that the US invades countries for resources needs to stop. The US is about to be a preeminent superpower in the oil and gas(especially) field with all the gas reserves the US has. They don't need to invade other countries for resources. Are there even any american companies in the waste lands that are iraq or afghanistan? The last I heard was that chinese companies were going to take the resources after the US fought the wars.

I think he's talking about how afghanistan will prosper going forward and that is through their rich natural resources. This is not a lie, however that doesn't mean that US companies will profit from this. And wouldn't this be the end game of your argument? As I said before I don't even think there are any american companies profiting from this on a grand scale, if you can prove me otherwise. I will listen.
I don't think it's just about American Companies since American Politics have always centered themselves around Multinational Corporations...it's about stabilizing the nation in order for those certain companies to come in to extract what they need. How do you think the Heroin in Afghanistan has gotten onto the streets of America?
