The best thing about this movie is that it's pure uncut fukkery done by people without a knowledge of what fukkery is. It's just honest about what it is.

It's not "and then he's gonna grab a motorcycle out of the air, swing it around like nunchucks and throw it over a wall:troll:"

Finally got around to seeing this and it lived up to the hype :ehh:

Seeing the story unfold and the different twists and turns in their friendship had me :ohhh:

Towards the end when the tag-team action really goes into overdrive :whew:

Load. Aim. Fire. :wow:

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
This movie's a huge hit in india, and film twitter loves it. as do the critics.

it's only in select cities, supposedly wider June 1st, but it's on netflix

i'm like 20 min in and already riveted. It's the same director who did the Baahubali movies :noah: This is a 3 hour epic.

This shyt is incredible

the ether
people bout to hop on the bollywood wave in 2022. :wow:

It isn't a Bollywood movie.

I am just flabbergasted.

That fukcing shyt was DOPE.

I want to learn about the symbolism and history now. People on India prolly can point things out that I am missing like I be pointing out comic Easter eggs in films

This review says there's a lot of casteist undercurrents in it. In real life the tribal hero was an educated man, but they turned him into some sort of illiterate simpleton who had to learn from the high-caste buddy, and excluded the low-caste freedom fighters from the closing credits. They also cast the tribal guy with a Brahmin actor fwiw, as is common there.

For comparison, it's sort of like if they made an abolition flick headlining William Wilberforce and Frederick Douglass as buddies, but depicted Wilberforce as the brains behind the movement and showed Douglass as an illiterate folksy guy who had good intentions but couldn't see the bigger picture. And had Douglass played by a non-Black actor.
