North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Royce bodied this nikka, that lupe track was the definition of mid

The beat was wack

His flow was not hitting on that laser airplaines in the night sky ass beat

Royce proved he got a better flow, rode the beat better, his lyrics were better structure, rhymes hitting every beat

when Lupe was all over the place should very little control of the track

Lupe had more direct disses, because he is the second to response, royce was just rapping and had a few jabs he and there

but the disses he did have was way more disrespectul and Lupe did not address them in his reply, lines like You Respect White People more than you love black people I mean thats some harsh shyt to say to another black person especially in rap

but who had more prep time to put together their song?

One took days or over a week. The other responded in a matter of hours.

If you gave Lupe a week to put together a diss, it would’ve sounded different.

As far as showcasing rapping ability, that’s a cop out. Royce shouldn’t have to make a brand new song to showcase his “skills” as a rapper. Shouldn’t your previous work prove that? Battling is battling. Royce made a song with sneak disses.

How do we know when Royce actually took time out to do his song. Either way its Lupe fault for responding so quickly

Royce didn't know it was a "battle". He thought it was a brief appearance like a showcase. F.A.B. gloated like he did something, then lost his life sadly:francis:

With all the work Lupe has done and does for the community in Chicago and places all over why would he give it much attention? And he did kinda address it by questioning Royce’s efforts

But nah Royce didn’t necessarily prove he was better than Lupe in anything with this song. Yes there are areas that Royce probably trumps Lupe in, but as an overall emcee & and artist Lupe edges him.

His delivery was weaker than Lupe’s, he had a lot of dope bars but it was a rappity rap track. Royce basically made a Mural Jr-esque track. He was flowing but didn’t really let the track breathe.

This is one of the instances Lupe used complex simplicity to his advantage

The only area Lupe has clearly is lyrical complexity. Everything else is Royce or debateable.
