After Roy beat Montell Griffin the 2nd fight Roy wanted to fight Holyfield. Holyfield didn't want it because people would of said he was picking on smaller guys. Then when Roy won the title from the Ruiz he wanted to fight him again, but they couldn't work out the deal so Holy fought Toney instead.
