who would u take if you were starting a team right now and had to choose one of the 2.

Hibbert takes it defensively. And he's very nimble and agile for a 7'2 guy.

I think Gasol wins in almost every other category outside D tho and his defense is very good as well. So I'll go with Gasol but Hibbert has been incredible in these playoffs. What I like about both guys is even tho they are legit 7 footers they seem relatively healthy and not so injury prone, like most guys their height. This (along with their ability to stay out of foul trouble and conditioning) allows their teams to give them somewhat big minutes. As opposed to a lot of other guys at that weight and height, who dont have the stamina nor health to play most of the game

lol, it's Gasol, and it's not really that close IMO. Hibbert is good on defense, and only effective on offense because of his size (re: ability to shoot over everyone). Gasol just won DPOY, is one of the better passers in the league (notice I said "passers" and not "passing big men"), can shoot out to 20, and has a mean post game.

Hibbert getting all this burn cause he faced a hurt Chandler, and a vastly undersized Heat front court. I wouldn't trade Larry Sanders for him, but that's just me.

so looks like most agree with my Gasol choice so let me play devil's advocate a bit.

If u were the pacers would u trade hibbert for gasol straight up. And if they did, would they be 2 wins away from the finals now...would memphis lose to the thunder in the 2nd round

Their strengths support their teams well.

Also, their strengths have worked well against the teams they've been matched up against.

I dont know if its as cut and dry as your scenario suggests. But yes, in the grand scheme of things I think Marc Gasol on the Pacers would be more successful than Roy Hibbert on the Grizz.

Finally, sum1 speakin da gospel. Every1's head gettin swoll cuz Hibbert shooting over undersized pf's tryin to play c, bosh, birdman haslem. Then they talkin bout em bein a top defensive guy in the playoffs, I never knew Tyson Chandler was an offensive force to be reckoned with.

the fact that both times Haslem got sum solid pt he put up over 15pts shows that hibbert aint nuthin special. N dude gotta quit whining after every gm that this guy plays dirty, then that plays dirty. u a centre, a big man, u gotta get use 2 dis ish.
