Lol the only difference is i'm not making full instrumentals it's the same level of skill (more so) it seems easier because it's shorter, you would think so right? but it's something you can only understand if you try it. After the tournament try to limit yourself to 60 secs per beat just to see if you can do it, hey it would actually be great for you because most commercials are 30 secs. and you would definitely make a killing in that field. But yeah going forward i'll make full instrumentals I have a little more time off so it's doable, but I needed to practice the 60 second format after taking my four month break because of injury. but back on target

Like I told somebody else bruh my beats be short because they are finished or they aren’t finished.

Sometimes I would make a beat before I went to work or left home to go to lowes or something and would just save it right where it’s at.

I make all of my new beats in the DEMO version of FL lol I can’t even reopen and go back in to change shyt if I wanted to. Sometimes I end up with a minute track because I like where it was at.

Bruh there’s no criteria, so the length don’t/shouldn’t matter, mixes don’t and shouldn’t matter. It’s about what’s better. they still don’t hear me though lol

but there is a criteria though. The criteria is whatever the fukk you like to hear when you listen to a beat.

and trust me ProdF knows that I already think he top 10 here. shyt maybe top 5. Dude has nothing to prove to me or anybody here. Once upon a time he was the new guy and I remember him terrorizing nikkas in here with them epic ass beats he was posting.

Not everyone knocks every beat out of the park tho. I'm used to his beats being short an understand and respect his reasoning. Its just that sometimes that format works and sometimes it don't. Its all about the match up too. He's had better shorter beats in the past, I just feel like this time all the vocal samples took away from the beat itself. CuzQ had a short beat in his match up too, but he didn't have any vocal samples so you truly got a full minute of his beat.

ProdF is one of the few OGs elite nikkas in here that still participates so he'll always get my respect just like everybody else does.

Yeah because in my daily league of work 60 seconds is all you get. So you have to keep the track short. Its the production version of the Slam Dunk contest. Where beat battling is more about the "wow" factor of the music. Thats my approach to beat battling. The track cuts at 60 so you have to put everything in those 60 seconds. It takes a lot to get used to the form if you haven't dealt with it before. So I can understand why people are voting for the opposite option- its more song friendly thats what I've gathered they want a beat that sounds battle ready, yet more like a song something they can vibe with for a longer period of time. But knowing that information helps for future rounds. It isn't as though I've lost yet. We still have several of votes out there. At any rate it should be an interesting few days.

PFire's beat is long enough for me, you have to give breh credit for being able to fit substance into a short amount of time, and that part about the mix had me ( ). Dope beats from both/could easily be a finals match
