@Mugen I can understand that you feel biased by us old 'boom-bap' heads.
But i think we all have our own style. And If you limit it to one 'sub-genre' You actually get less and less originality.

Nah it’s not that, I understand we going off of feeling and all but it’s like you already lost.

That’s why I said what I said about knowing how this gonna go already.

I love all music you can’t have one without the other if the other (boom-bap) came before.


All im saying is it’d make more sense having brackets of styles rather than A style vs B style because you not gonna get votes.

The scales already tip in favor of the heavy drums or ENERGETIC music. I ain’t trying to derail the threads or nothing I’m saying if it was chill vibe vs chill vibe, then you’d get more clarity in the judging or comparison.

It’s about originality but last week the beats that won ain’t carry that theme.

does it not make sense to have the best of the boom bap in one bracket then best of trap producers in another, let them go through respective brackets then have a 4-8 producer brawl at the end where it’s A style vs B style? Idk it make sense to me…y’all think I’m bashing when really I’m tryna make it clearer in the sense of judging. There are critiques on length of beats but nowhere was it established the beat had to be a fully composed track, IE


Jay Z track “VS” is like 40 seconds long and that beat KILLS a ton of the beats we posting in this tournament but if somebody uploaded that 40 second clip you’d get “oh it need to be longer”

This the LAST one I'm addressing. All of the top FOUR Ranked "favorites" are currently locked in TIGHT battles so where the fukk is the favoritism. And I DAMN sure know you not referencing me because I have lost and had too many wars to be a "favorite"

Two cats that can replay/play shyt at a high level . Strategies would be needed to compete with you guys.

I thought both were excuted well and hit their point exactly. Cats lowkey sleeping on o-fen because that guitar work is tough. Rod recreated that particular sample () and deployed the arrangements around it beautifully. Where o-fen fell a little short to me was that imo his beat was a bit too long. If it was shortened to just highlight the guitar, or maybe had the guitar arrangements brought in as a suprise/closer at the end, i feel he could have taken this. But with the way Rod combined his melodies the composition felt ready made to be blessed by some r&b

I had to go for bigrod only because I never heard no shyt like that before, I didnt even know what synth/instrument I was listening to half the time. The beat made me feel anxious in places because of the pitch bends that was going on but then it brought back the smoothness and completeness.

I had to go with bigrod based on that but fonemeno shyt was kind of in a similar vein. This defo the most unique battle so far, crazy.
