Tough battle for me to judge because I was really really fukking with Ran's choice of the sample and vocal chops a lot. I think, like everyone has said, if the drums esp. the kick were beefed/mixed better it woulda gained more points from it. As far has the trackmasters clap, Im cool with that maybe you can bring that back from the grave.

Tek gave us a vintage boom bap beat. I felt like his beat overall was just better in all areas. Drums were DEF. on point so I had to give my vote to Tek.
lol @ bringing em back from the grave ... they haven't reached vintage status yet? :why:

I was all ready to give ran the battle when that sample came in but then the drums...they need work man. I used to have infinitely worse drums so I know you can buff that shyt as well. That sample and arrangements are dope but the drums are just too constricting.

I'm going with that grimy shyt from tek :ld:

Tek's beat has major vibes, so I went with Tek. I agree with everyone about Ran, it's a mixing issue there and also a drum selection issue, but that's fixable and your ear for samples is definitely good, so just get on gem YouTube tutorials on mixing.

Impeach :blessed:

Tek got a nice classic vibe going...good stuff. The sample was cool and the drums were dope of course. Good mix as well. You got my vote

Ran...my brother...those drums and that mix held back greatness. That sample is DOPE, but you picked the wrong drums and drums didn't have the best mix. I would really suggest going back and tweaking this joint outside of the tourney to get it to really shine...

:wow: Tek's beat is on some Gene Hackman French Connection type vibe

I actually didn't mind the drums on Ran's beat (sample is too dope), they would be disguised/blend in with somebody rapping on the joint, some beats sound better that way :manny: and you don't get the full impact until then

on some straight instrumental ish though, my vote goes to Tek

went with tek.
Ran sample was good but needed better sound around it. Maybe you need some headphones, not sure what you are using.
