I do believe that Justin can play better but it's hard to fairly evaluate when he has the worst receiving crew in the league, worst offensive line in the league and a coaching staff that won't call plays to accentuate his talents of rolling out of the pocket. He is being set up to fail. It is evident.
The Bears were in the redzone 3x's (that I saw, I missed bits and pieces of the game because watching this team is like going to the dentist for me) and we saw him 3x's just miss throws the elites are making. Our run game is also elite even with other teams knowing that Justin can't throw for shyt. A QB with no mobility that holds on to the ball as long as Justin does is getting hammered, but if you put Peyton Manning in this offense the Bears are 5-1 right now. Justin Fields needs an offensive-minded coach that always puts him in position to showcase his strengths if he's ever going to be anything. Additionally, this coach has to have an ability to SCHEME TOUCHES FOR HIS BEST PLAYERS. Mooney and Kmet aren't cream of the crop, but that's a fairly solid foundation for a respectable pass-catching corps.
Fields has some bad habits (one-read tuck and run, has to see the WR open instead of throwing him open) but you can coach/personnel that out of people. The difference between Chicago's run blocking and pass blocking is beyond night and day.
