bryce literally has a top 10 o line and one of the best rbs in the league. if he was even a league average game manager, the panthers would be hovering around .500
but the only person with a worse passer rating than him is anthony richardson. bryce isn't average or below average. people stay glossing over that part. not a little bad. not kinda bad. literally struggling to not be the worst starting QB in the league. there are QBs with their seasons ended and released weeks ago that have more yardage than him. shyt, jones had more yards on a worse team too
he is so objectively bad, that when he has a good game - people literally lose their jobs
the only reason people even thought he was 'back' was when contending teams treated the panthers like an extra bye week
