Everyone asking why didn't the Bears trade Fields and take Stroud please quote yourself from the draft thread so we can see you made the call then.

You can't hindsight this. No one thought Stroud would instantly be looking like a top 5 QB, win the division, and a playoff game.

Stroud wouldn't be looking this good in Chicago with their inept coaching and skill position players. Who would he even be throwing to? Same with Carolina.

He's going to be great wherever but being in Houston with those coaches and teammates is the perfect fit.

CJ was the Top QB in the draft, idk how you watch him go dolo with the Georgia Cyborgs in the playoffs and think he won't succeed in the league

Facts. I agree. I can't stand sports fans who act like things are so obvious. Let's see them make these definitive statements in the moment. Or let's see their rookie of the year bets that they made for Stroud back in April

@Trojan 24 does have some sort of receipt though

I wasn't high on CJ his whole time at OSU till the Georgia game. He was CJ Self Pocket and almost refused to use his athleticism. I think that Georgia game he finally stopped listening to clown ass Day and let it all hang out

My theory is he didn't want to be labeled as a typical black "running QB" so he basically never used his legs

His command of the pocket is elite though. Subtle steps and sliding rather than running around like that bum Fields

This

His high school QB coach/trainer shunned running.

Went out of his way to stress so CJ would not get that label

I kind of resented it at times when he was at Ohio State.

But as you said, h s so elite in the pocket you forget about his non running lol
