North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Not in my top ten. All Jay has at this point is longevity. I put Jadakiss and Styles P above Jay Z with ease lyrically. Fab done pretty much past him as well.

What made Jay Z great was his consistency. Before he retired he dropped an album with hits every year. After he retired his legend was cemented. They he came back and the consistency was broken. He would have a few wow moments here and there but now he's just :flabbynsick: on the mic.

i rank jay z nowhere,he has'nt been lyrically relavent since the black album, some might say blueprint.he might say a lil something at times but he stopped talking to us(the hood nikkas)a long time ago.jay is a pop artist, kinda like the new mc hammer but without all the bullshyt, old people like him little kids like him, muthafukkas who can't speak english like jay z...pop artist:yeshrug:im not mad though,he took the natural road to where his talent took him,it is what it is.

this post is so on point that was the thing i liked the most about jay-z was the consistency in quality music from 1996-2003 he dropped quality outside of vol.3 he dropped classic material imo now it's just like he dropping material just to say i have a album out which don't mean shyt in the long run because it is about quality not quanity so longevity to me is irrelevant imo.

I see, we're judging someone's whole career by how they are now... I guess we throw Mozart in the bushes too... he aint been shyt since... fukkit i dont even know.

there is only one person on the planet that is better than Jay at his best. Thats what we're talkin about.
