Me against the World gets my vote if i'm forced to do this head to head. As much as I to this day enjoy listening to illmatic it feels like an "If you aint an NY dude you only know so much so stay in your lane with your opinion" experience.

I'll argue till i'm old and gray that it was Pac's best musical effort because you saw every side of his personality minus that emotionally instability that made Makaveli special. Just related to the journey MATW took me on moreso than the illmatic experience.

Breh you made a poll and over 50% of the Coli has Illmatic as the greatest album :manny:

I like MATW, Pac's best album IMO

The Coli isn't the representation of Hip Hop, it's a part of it definitely, but not the be all and end all either. I love Illmatic too, I've listened to that shyt over 3 or 4 times in the last 2 days lol. All I mean is, when you say come on.. you'd be surprised how many people actually feel Illmatic more in general (not just the coli) it would be a very interesting thing to research, in my experience it's quite balanced. Forums wise Illmatic will win probably.
