I'll be shocked if March gets here and Green is still a Celtic. He's gonna get traded to a Western contender for a 1st round pick and whatever player needed to make salaries match. It sucks, I wish he could stay but Ainge is blowing it up. He's finally becoming the player we thought he could be when we first got him but now it just might be too little too late.

Nah I don't think he's gonna build around anyone on the roster currently except maybe Smart, but Smart still has a ways to go offensively.

green is young, good, smart and versatile enough to keep. IF we are going to trade him it better be to a shytty team that can actually give us a worthwhile pick, preferably in the East. if we want great picks and are blowing it up then trade him in the conference so we can actually lose games we might win...either way blowing it up by trading everything worthwhile is backwards especially cuz our cap space is probably going to go to waste since we'd have to overpay for a talent to convince them to come here. no one wants to play in a barren wasteland under an unproven coach in a city that never attracted FAs in the first place. there was really no need to blow it up because we were already blown up. id like to think ainge traded rondo because he was going to leave in FA anyway and Green rumors are just because his value is high..not because they think Green is expendable

Another factor with Jeff is that he can opt out of his contract after this season, and coming off the best season of his career he's probably going to look for a new contract worth more than the one he has now. Maybe Ainge doesn't want to give it to him.

then fukk ainge. extend green right now 3/36. we're not going to land any big FAs...ever...unless they already have ties to the celts or boston. agents with good relations with danny wont even be able to convince their clients to come here unless its a wild offer because its obvious ainge just looks at everyone as assets. thats all good and fine until it comes to convincing people to make boston their home long term...theres no way they can go into it confident they wont get traded in 2-3 years if it doesnt work out...and if were going to have to overpay then why not give green at least a reasonable offer? fukk this

Rondo is a good defender for his size and he's got great hands on both sides of the ball

when he tries and doesnt gamble. one would think chandler and carlisle can keep him in check a bit though. hes gotten a bit lazy on rotations and plays for steals

@Dustin Chapman how bad is the carnage over at CelticsBlog? Im assuming its the apocalypse for 95% of readers and those who comment

Well he's gonna be motivated as fukk now. He has a legit chance to compete for more than just lottery picks

he was low-key falling off on defense before kg/pierce left

pierce and bradley would play the best man to man D...rondo would roam, go for steals and siphon guys into KG and the post where KG and the other big or the wing on that side would collapse
