Let's be honest though, imagine how big Floyd would have been with social media then. What Bronzer got off dancing and hair brushing, Floyd would have got off skill. Sidenote, imagine Tyson if we had social media at the timeBroner, at 26 years old, has won more Championships than Floyd had at the same age though (4 Championships for Broner to only 3 Championships for Floyd...Floyd didn't win a 4th Championship until he was 28 years old). He's also more known than Floyd was at the same age as well.
It's easy to compare Floyd's full career resume at 38 years old to Broner's incomplete resume at only 26 and try to say Broner is lacking the same accomplishments, but when they were the same age, AB has more accomplishments + a bigger name amongst the general public than Floyd had at the same time in his life.

Terrence Crawford would have been more captivating then Floyd? We usually agree breh butNo he wouldn't have. If this was the case, more people (specifically all Floyd's stans) would be fans of Terence Crawford right now.

I see your point, you are right let me rephrase: Floyd would have had skill to back up the talk, unlike Ronda. If Broner was as good as Floyd now, with Floyd on his "better image" shyt, Broner could be bigger in time. Imagine Broner talked shyt and knocked out Maidana and kept with the dancing and stupid comments. He'd be number 1 draw in boxing hands down if he didn't lose, bigger then any no loss fighter presently .Casuals, especially Floyd stans, don't watch for "skill"...they watch for "hype".
Might point using Crawford was because you said: "Let's be honest though, imagine how big Floyd would have been with social media then. What Bronzer got off dancing and hair brushing, Floyd would have got off skill" and my response is saying that it's not true, because if it was, Floyd stans in the social media era would have already migrated to Terence Crawford instead of Adrien Broner.....and it hasn't happened.
Crawford is all skill, no hype. AB has skill, but has MUCH more hype. Floyd stans, however, had chosen AB to follow over Crawford............which tells me Floyd would be still in the shadows amongst the casuals like Crawford is today.

True...I'm going to blame Ward too for his breaks and shyt. He robbed us of a lot of his prime (possibly) only fighting twice since 2012, but he doesn't talk much unless being interviewed or a mike in his face so these fan boys still wouldn't know him. Yet they know GGGI agree
Another thing on Floyd though, we have to also remember Floyd didn't go the pure "heel" route until the Arturo Gatti fight....which was his 34th career fight (he only fought 15 times after that) and 2 years after Myspace.com was already up & running (I was posting on sohh.com as of 2001 already). So, with that being the case, there's nothing that would've changed his career path in the social media era vs non-social media era prior to him fighting Gatti. I think he would've still ended up doing almost the same thing in his career unless he changed his personality sooner.
Perfect example of this: Andre Ward who's the most skilled fighter in the game, undefeated, and even Floyd has said he's #1 in retirement, but I can go in the coliseum right now and I bet less than 10% of the posters know who he is....and we are in the height of the social media era
Without trash talk or hype, you cant become a top draw in the sport of Boxing as a black man
Nah..Tyson wasn't bashing anyone like that at first. And he RULED the world..him and Michael Jackson were on top of everything in the free world in those 80s, my man. He was bigger than Jordan..bigger than the Superbowl champions. He was like a fukkING ROCK STAR in Japan for that fight. Never seen a Black man that WORSHIPPED by Asians It was insane...you had to see it to believe itI agree
