Reading a little more about this, there was more or less zero chance he was ever going to jail, due to his mind. None of his accusers even seemed to think he'd go to jail.

I mean it was technically legal to rape a woman until the mid 80s I believe. If a woman agreed to a date, the implication was sex in return. It still is but it's not legal like it once was.
