Actually in this context it does matter how one shoots three-pointers, especially since Kerr was limited in how he could score them. Kerr's percentage is 1% higher, yet Curry has made 500+ more. I mean seriously, are you that anti-10s that you're going to argue this point?

Curry has made 1,243 three-pointers at 44%
Kerr has made 726 three-pointers at 45%

:mindblown:

How you could possibly come to the conclusion that Kerr was a better three-pointer shooter, I don't know.

The Warriors would work out on how to best defend the Bulls well before the vice versa. GS have multiple players and arguably the greatest defensive scheme to guard both Jordan and Pippen. Draymond, Bogut and Ezeli can guard Kukoc.

The triangle offense the Bulls used in 97 is easier to deal with than most offensive schemes the Warriors have faced, especially since the Bulls would have to deal with zone defense.

You want to know why this isn't happening? Because you're forgetting that the Warriors would leave Rodman open when he's on the perimeter, and use Curry to disrupt the Bulls offense by working in and out of the passing lanes. You're putting far too much focus on Curry's lack of defense, or how the Bulls would expose him on that end. The Warriors defense works because every player is helping each other. There'd only be the odd occasion where Curry would be left on his opposite by himself with no other Warrior in the vicinity.

The Bulls couldn't just punish Curry on the low block because before that player could get a shot off, he'd have to deal with players helping off their player and distributing the ball carrier. If it were Harper (which it most typically be, given all the other matchups), i) he wouldn't able to create a shot in those situations ii) he wouldn't be able to deal with the effects of zone defense.

The favorable matchups for the Warriors would all be dependent on what lineups they'd put out -

Livingston would abuse Kerr/Brown in the post
Klay would tire out and free himself up on every perimeter role player
Barbosa has the speed/ability to get past every perimeter role player
Iggy has the speed/ability to get past every big man role player
Barnes has the ability to back down every Bulls guard/wing role player not named Harper and has the speed to get past every Bulls big man role player
Green has the ability to breakdown any Bulls role player in initiating the offense/creating mismatchups

This is all without mentioning the favorable matchups Curry would create for himself and the added effect he'd have for the rest of the team.
The average NBA team in today's NBA is just a lot deeper than in 97. It's not even fair. A lot of these guys wouldn't be in the NBA today like Wellington for example and Longley wouldn't even start. If the board wants to compare MJ/Pip v. Curry and Thompson, that has a lot more pull than GS v. CHI

Switch Rodman onto Curry :russ:

Nobody wants to switch bigs onto him because he makes them dance.

The Warriors spacing isn't "fukked" when they have bigs on the floor, the hell are you talking about :wtf:

So let me get this straight, the team with almost no 3 point shooting and two bigs on the floor that can't shoot, neither of which are offensive threats in the post they don't have a spacing problem, but the team with 4 guys that can shoot on the court and 1 defensive big does?

Thecoli is one of the worst forums in the world to be honest Malta went it comes to common sense and MJ is mention. How in the world does anyone think a 90's Basketball team can beat the Warriors is hilarious to me.

Michael Jordan on the 97 Grizzles v. Warriors? Grizz in 6. MJ is just too much. He can do it all. You saw how he beat the Monstars with Looney Tunes. :snoop: I hate Michael Jordan stans with a passion. The most brain dead stanbase in the world outside of white people with white supremacy.

The bulls played teams with as much 3pt shooting as the warriors and actual post prescence such as orlando in 96 when they swept them.

The Warriors set records. Show me proof Orlando was as good from deep. Aside from the that, the Warriors are a flat out better team than the magic ever were.

There a several ways they could free up Curry (this is all without mentioning that Curry is a better ballhandler/shot creator than 99% of players that Bulls team played against). Curry can still initiate the offense while running off screens, it doesn't need Iggy or Livingston to work - they'll have just need some sort of PnR action and Draymond or Bogut to move the ball from the high post or near the perimeter, until Curry was free for an open shot.

On the point that Iggy and Livingston offers no floor spacing - do you not watch the Warriors play? Iggy and Livingston are often placed behind the 3-pt line in swing ball situations. That's how the Warriors offense operates; four options behind the 3-pt line at any given time. And let's not act like the Bulls didn't have players that shrunk the floor space on offense either. Dudes like Caffey, Dele, Rodman and Brown didn't provide much floor spacing.

The Warriors would no doubt treat Rodman like they did Allen on offense - using that extra player to help on Jordan or Pippen.

The Warriors would throw Barnes, Iggy, Draymond and Klay at Jordan depending on their success rate, and they'd make sure to swarm Jordan whenever he was on the low block or on the weakside. Which is partly the reason why not only is this series hypothetical in a matchup sense, but what rules would be used? Jordan wouldn't have as much success if the Warriors could play with the existing rules (zone defense).

The problem with that is, there's not enough players on the court to contain the Warriors. The Bulls best bet would be to let Iggy, Draymond and Barnes + other role players take open shots, and focus on stopping Curry and Klay.

You said there are seveal ways to get Curry opend then boiled it down to PnR. That's my point. The Warriors PnR is not going to have the same effect with the Bulls. Pippen and Rodman are infinite better than Steph and Draymond have seen at defending it. The Bulls don't have to help off Steph with the Pnr..hedge the pick and play steph straight up.

The triangle kills the zone. Tony Allen is a perimeter player. You can leave him open..you have to account for Rodman or you will get ate on the glass. Any lineup with Kerr Pippen and Kukoc will open up the floor. Who you going help off of? They not going to bring in Caffey and Dele in at the same time. The Bulls would run some variation of that line up.

Bulls in 6..

The Warriors wouldn't get past those Knick teams with Charles Oakley, Anthony Mason, Xavier Mcdaniel, and Ewing they would of broken Curry and Klay.

Ya'll think Steph doin' it to a MJ/Pippen trap?!

You mean after he passes out of it and green, Thompson, igoudala and Barnes are open all day? Other teams have tried.

Face it, the Warriors are different from any team the Bulls have faced and Theres no way in hell they shut them down. We are possibly seeing a historically great team, just as the Bulls were.
