Saying he doesn't mean it now doesn't take back the fact that he did say it

The 47% video has by far been the most damaging thing to Romney's whole campaign. Him admitting he was wrong only highlights it more. I'm saying right now that video is the reason Obama is winning in Ohio and will win Ohio.

hussein blew his chance..fukkin soft ass light skin nikkas

Nope, I'm glad he didn't mention the 47% in the debate. Mitt wanted his chance to apologize to 50 Million people live on air and make himself look humble. Didn't get it. Those 47% ether ads are still running in all the swing states and are clearly working.

Not really. Mitt spent weeks defending his comments. Barack just has to say something like "yeah you apologized...when it became politically smart for you to do so. The American people got a true look at you Mitt and they didn't like it."

If Obama says that it'll just come across as petty. Trying too hard for a gotcha moment. He REALLY should have used it in the first debate. It's too late now.

obama would have fallen into a trap if he brought it up, now that romney has renegged (like he's done a few times) Obama shouldn't say anything. Mitt will screw up his own campaign strategy, why should obeezy go on the all out offense?

this is a really good point actually. Romney's campaign had been saying he needed to "connect" or appear empathetic that could have been what he was looking for. It could also explain why Obama avoided the Elephant in the room.

Let's just hope that PAC money keeps pointing out the 47% in ways a politician shouldn't.

He MUST go on the offensive. He can't afford to go the rest of the debates the way he did the first. But the 47% comment needs to be off the table. Bringing it up in the second debate will make him look indecisive. If he wants to keep it alive he needs to urge his whores in the media to not let the issue die. He should tell them to run with the phrase "Is Romney's apology enough?" And analyze the apology and the comment over and over, in all different ways until election day.

Disclaimer: I genuinely dislike both Obama and Romney as men and as politicians. I watch these debates the same way I would watch an episode of HBO's True Blood. Any comments I make regarding the race between the two candidates is for entertainment purposes only, and from a purely politically strategic standpoint.

This

And that is the real problem for Mitt. I'm sure there will be ads with Mitt making the 47% statements and the ads of him defending the statements over and over and over and over.

Smart strategy though.

Obama had a chance to use this in the first debate and blew it.

Now Romney's apologized and said it was wrong.

Obama will look like a dikk if he brings it up in the 2nd debate now (seeing as Romney has already apologized)

good move by romney, i was hoping obama would call him on that at the next debate, but this gives mitt a chance to say he already apologized.

but the comment has already been said, so this apology doesnt really mean shyt.

Obama should take a page from Bush's playbook from 04 and just yell flip flopper everywhere

I kind of doubt he will, at most he'll mention that Romney "changed positions" on a few issues.

Obama is deathly scared that he'll come off as an "angry black man" and that Fox News will say something bad about him if he's too aggressive or assertive.
