All they have to do is say "Are you gonna believe what he says behind closed doors or what he says to a national TV audience whose vote he's trying to get" (if he tries to say it in the debate). False terrible move cause he defended it at first. This makes him look inconsistent and doesn't stand by his belief's. The fact is the tape will always be out there. Politically Obama forced his hand cause the 47% was hurting him in swing states. SMH @ all the republicans defending him on it and now he threw them under the bus. This doesn't take it off the table cause Obama will still say to his face what he said on tape.

Here's the thing though. It's already been pointed out that the 47% is largley mitts base, it's a political win because the ones who were walking towards the fence will now be ok with it because he "apologized". They just needed a reason to forgive him, now they have it.

You think independents, still on the fence, favor what Mitt had to say at that fundraiser? Those are the voters who both sides are courting right now. Those comments were damaging and Mitt can't apologize his way away from them.
