BY RANDOM HITS
Published Mon Nov 29, 2021, 04:36 PM EST
Super welterweight contender Luis “Cuba” Arias will take on veteran Vaughn Alexander in a 10-round showdown that tops the non-televised undercard this Sunday, December 5 in a Premier Boxing Champions event from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.
The event is headlined by five-time world champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis defending his WBA Lightweight Title against hard-hitting contender Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz live on a SHOWTIME PPV telecast that begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Tickets for the event, which is promoted by Mayweather Promotions, GTD Promotions and TGB Promotions, are on sale now and can be purchased at AXS.com.
The undercard will also feature undefeated prospects entering the ring as Baltimore’s Malik Warren (5-0, 5 KOs) takes on Eric Manriquez (7-12-1, 3 KOs) in a six-round super featherweight attraction, Washington, D.C.’s Jalil Hackett (2-0, 2 KOs) in a four-round welterweight showdown against Darynn Leyva (1-2-1, 1 KO), and heavyweight Carlos Garcon (2-0, 2 KOs) battling Jason Soto (3-1-1, 3 KOs) in a four-round duel.
A pair of female fights round out the lineup, as super flyweight contender Ava Knight (19-2-5, 5 KOs) faces New Orleans-native Indeya Smith (2-3-2, 1 KO) in an eight-round bout, and unbeaten prospect Mia Ellis (2-0, 2 KOs) competes in a four-round super featherweight contest against Elizabeth Tuani (1-4, 2 KOs).
Born in Milwaukee, Arias (19-2-1, 9 KOs) returned to the ring in June and earned a career-best victory in defeating former unified champion Jarrett Hurd on the Mayweather vs. Paul SHOWTIME PPV undercard. The 31-year-old has faced top competition throughout his career, including going the distance with former middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs in a 2017 duel. Arias racked up wins in his first 18 pro fights after turning pro in 2012 and the Mayweather Promotions’ fighter now trains in Las Vegas. He will be opposed by the St. Louis-native Alexander (15-6-1, 9 KOs), who most recently fought to a split-draw against Winfred Harris Jr. in August. The older brother of former two-division champion Devon, Alexander owns a victory over previously unbeaten Money Powell IV in 2019.
No this is normal Calvin will be there fight nightDid something happen between tank and Calvin behind the scenes?
Thread description leaves out the thing that Rollie is accused by multiple women not just some “his words vs her words” case. If you wanna believe Rollie of all people is the victim of some grand conspiracy, go ahead though
This is a better fight than Rollie too so I don’t mind it at all. Why a fukking Sunday though, what’s the reason? I’m not about to watch this card live from 3 am when I’m working from 9 am. Hope I can watch the next day w/o knowing the result
It was only one girl… 8 “anonymous” stories after the fact with zero credibility N only the original fat girl knows who they are
It’s been over a month N supposedly the cops were involved since she finally decided to make a report days after goin on Twitter … Not a peep on the “case” N Rolly is out doin Rolly things
Nah we not goin cancel any boxer with that lack of evidence
Shows you how big Tank is that chick waited for Rolly biggest pay day to do this. She coulda did it when he was on the charlo undercard or earlier unless im missing somethingFacts
we should have heard more shyt about it by now. fukking broad was just hating and picked the right time to make a move.
Good to see that Tank Davis went in the opposite direction of Bronerization in the last year or two.
At a point, it seemed like the guy is another head case who gonna fukk up his natural talent by being undisciplined and getting into fukkery out of the ring, for now at least it seems like he cleared his act and is taking boxing more serious. He also doesn't mumble that much anymore but speaks more articulately, that doesn't hurt either. Seems like his stamina problems aren't that bad anymore either, against Barrios he looked good going into the later rounds too.
What I still don't like is how they move him in terms of opponents (though this fight is good), most cases not the fighters fault but if he's really a PPV star even if a minor one and he'd be the A side over anyone (probably he would be) in the division that means he's the most lucrative opponent to others too. This means it's time to stop moving him between divisions depending on where PBC has fighters and secondary belts that are available at the time.
Stick to a division (let's say 135, which has big money fights and is a deep division) and make offers to the TOP guys to fight him on Showtime PPV. If he's the biggest cash cow in his division there's no need to rely only on the PBC roster when choosing opponents. Idc that Farmer turned it down at 130, there are so many guys they can make an offer to as the A side. There's Haney who's a free agent, there's Kambosos who's not in contract with any networks and even if TR or GBP don't let them over at least try and make a fight with Loma or Garcia.
They can probably get that fight if they really set themselves to it, the question is if they want it or noti think Teo losing put blood in the water where they going tk try and get Tank that fight ASAP because Tank would yield Kambosa the biggest pay day out of any of the other cats in the class, and for Tank on the surface its low risk high reward (Teo beat himself and Kambosa saw it and keep Teo in that box to destroy himself).

I can see Hearn throwing in a big bad for Haney vs Kambosos in Australia
How could Tank be a Mandatory with no belt at 135?for Kambosos its pretty much gonna be who ever has the bigger bag, but i would assume Tank could activate a Mando
