I think his booking took a dip in quality more than anything. When Roman was getting praised for his run, it was when creatively, it was basically a soap opera and his feuds had some level of difference from opponent to opponent. Obviously his feud with Jey and the months after were peak Tribal Chief because storytelling was the main focus of his character at that point. There were good story work with guys like Owens, Drew, Pearse, Cesaro, Seth, Bryan/Edge.

Once the fans came back(and honestly when that DUI happened), the act became mostly watered down, repetitive in how WWE handled Roman's feuds and it truly took a dive during that time Cena came back. Roman started become less like Tribal Chief and more so a generic heel. The only time you see any semblance of what made his early work so great is whenever Brock is involved because of the Heyman dynamic forcing a more soap opera vibe again. The booking got lazy and it has made his run very dry lately. Same with Usos. They killed all singularity and blended them into a duo again lol

Roman is nowhere near the abusive piece of shyt he started as and we dont get great backstage segments or creative face offs like he had with Owens. The character progression came to a halt and honestly regressed. Dude doesnt even have his mafia room to cut promos out of anymore lol WWE has hit a boring ass pattern with him. I know it aint thunderdome so it changes the dynamic a bit. But, its still disappointing seeing how uncreative everything became. its the same with his matches. Early on he was actually doing all kinds of shyt. Brawling chaos with Owens, emotional shyt with Jey, more "technical" based with Cesaro, bangers with Bryan. Now shyt is just long and plodding. Just complacency in it all now. This happens with a lot of WWE runs after the first year tbh.

Why is his name not king zay.
Short for xavier.

Or king day.
Like king of new day.

The pc propaganda keeps people amid promo on tv rhyming it bogus too.

Wish y'all wrote rants.
to read what the thoughts of the show was...

Especially weekly rants if all tv.

Bet you will see the oroduct for ehat it is. Just like if you were keith or crz. If you wrote rants on wwe tv.

I don't think you guys could last one three hour raw.

From your posts.
Roman was inring opposite better workers.
who carried him in steen cesaro and bryan.
So now he has no former roh headlining alums.
Ala cesaro, bryan and steen. to piggyback off of. Roman can get easily exposed.
as a wwe inhouse talent and worker.

Ok this is a fair critique, the writing and matches have gone down since the Cena feud. I still don’t know how they dropped the ball on that. They finally got the crowd to cheer Cena and they wet the bed with the promos and build.

Also WWE does this thing where if they are behind you they have you win ALL of your matches. So it’s either Hogan/Austin/Cena/Roman level dominance and win streaks or you are A champ like Big E but you lose most of your non title matches. Like Big E should have beat Roman at SS, they have no idea how much that would have made Big E and it would have gave them something to go back to later.

I like Brock and I think he deserves the push he gets However he should NOT be the one to beat Roman first. It does nothing for him, and it doesn’t use Romans star power to put anyone over. And at the end of the day almost two years later Roman would be the only star made in this storyline and that’s pathetic. They have clearly slowed down on the usos after the dui.

so yea I can’t disagree with your take.
