Not really. The crowd doesnt really do anything to get themselves over by hijacking the show like a bored WWE crowd does. AEW crowds react to what theyre seeing. If anything this is self ether because it illustrates that strong positive crowd reactions are foreign to him.ether
What’s funny about ALL of this is that Punk hasn’t said ONE WORD about Roman. And Roman just slandering this dude every time he is asked about him which is just
Funny thing about ALL of this is that WHEN Punk responds he is gonna strike a nerve. And the same folks that a praising this spicy talk from Roman is gonna get in their feelings when Punk verbally humbles him.
“I don’t know if I’ve said it before, but I’ve said it before, when the audience is probably the biggest character in your show, that’s strange to me. You’ll hear it all the time, the reviews and the comparisons. I think because they are the new kids on the block, they’re the cool kids in town I guess because of how premature and how novel it kind of still is, I think there still being babied by these hardcore wrestling fans. Which is fine. That’s great. I don’t think anybody’s going to ever, especially from a performance standpoint say, ‘Oh no, there’s more opportunities out there? That sucks.’ So it’s not a bad thing. It’s a great thing for professional wrestling. It’s just a weird argument because there’s so much bias and there’s so much, ‘I’m on this side and I’m not gonna open my mind to the other side.’ And it goes both ways.
what you think would happen if roman stepped into a mma cage¿*You can’t “humble” anybody when the whole world saw you get an ass whooping…

*Fortunately for him, the world wont have to find out
Technically it is for "everyone", except some hardcore ass wrestling fans. It's not just about the brand loyalty and how long they been around. It is about what they are doing and have been doing in recent years.I understand Roman is a company guy and everything but that nonsense about AEW having a ceiling and how WWE is for "everyone" which I assume he meant there was no ceiling for WWE is nonsense.
Wrestling is a niche product and both companies have a ceiling. WWE just has a bigger audience based on it being in existence for a million years and having that brand loyalty that a long-lived product will have.
And I don't know who WWE is creating their content for but its not for everyone because they do things that are insulting to the viewer more often than not.
This. The debate isnt wether AEW is competitiom for them or not. They undoubtedly are. The question is how much will AEW grow with the opportunity theyve been given. They're doing a great job so far no matter how many company men say otherwise. At some point though They're going to need a business plan that turns casuals to hardcore fans. Casuals dont spend real money. Hardcores do.Technically it is for "everyone", except some hardcore ass wrestling fans. It's not just about the brand loyalty and how long they been around. It is about what they are doing and have been doing in recent years.
WWE is actively trying to do things to appeal to all demographics and groups, and whether you like it or not does not mean it's false.
AEW on the other hand is literally targeting a specific audience, and it is working for them .
