There is so much disingenuous thought behind this post it's ridiculous. Rocky Maivia & Ringmaster were completely different from The Rock & Stone Cold. If we're being honest a lot of people wanted Reigns to be a badass face if he wasn't going to turn heel.Ikr. People hated Rocky Maivia & The Ringmaster but for some reason, called themselves cheering for The Rock & Stone Cold. It's even more mind blowing because its not like fans were asking for Reigns to be paired with Heyman as a heel as early as 2015. (Reigns coincidentally, oddly enough, asked to go heel years ago.)
Wrestlers not only growing as performers, but also being slotted and booked in roles & with characters that come off as natural. Booking actually.... booking talent to their strengths. What a novel, insane concept. Still can't wrap my head around it.
Stop it. It was both and you know it. Bryan at that point never got the top face run he deserved and he was over from day one on NXT. Reigns who was the "other guy" in the Shield, was being primed for it following the Cena formula and fans hated it. He also just wasnt good at using what was given to him. People have wanted THIS Roman Reigns for the longest and there are hundreds if posts backing this up here and thousands elsewhereNot buying that “we hated his babyface run” shyt
Y’all hated him because he was the top dog and y’all wanted another nikka at the top and took it out on him
He was never bad, always had solid matches and was booked as a dominant babyface. people were into him and only turned because they wanted Daniel Bryan in his position and it stuck..
Y’all saw dude as entire existence as the reason these Kevin Owens, Ricochet 5’9” flop ass nikkas couldn’t get ahead. now he’s on fire so y’all hopped on the wave
To be fair, WWE should have turned him heel years ago, but they kept thinking they could make him the next big babyface overnight. You can tell he wasn't comfortable with that.
You had a whole arena wishing death on him the night after WrestleMania 33, he brags about retiring The Undertaker, and you keep him face? What sense does that make?

Wrestlers pause too much in promos. I think they think it's creating mystique, seriousness, and menace? But it honestly sounds contrived and fake. When roman speeds up his speech here you feel it alot more and he gets into it himself, but then slips back into it.
Watch flair, austin, and rock. They talked fast normally and when they did slow it down you knew it was serious for real. They played with tension real good.
why did it took him 8 years to get rid of that hideous tanktop?
this is how Roman shouldve been booked years ago, as a babyface he was worse than Cena in being so blatantly obvious shoved down the fans throats,
Cena knew how to work around that cause he had natural charisma
Roman is beyond trash as a babyface and his in ring work is Randy Orton status
however
Roman is playing his heel role to perfection, and he finally looks like a main eventer, only took them 8 fukkin years to get it right
