I've gotta say, the day I realized how much less of a problem with how his character went out at Mania against Triple H than I did was the day I turned a corner on Book. Now his opinions never surprise me. I'm not saying the man had to be personally offended. But to act like that shyt made sense and was cool threw me off. Like EVERYTHING about that situation was wild.
As for Dave, I think people who slurp him off are weird, and I think the haters are weird. Dude is not infallible. The source of his journalistic output when it comes to wrestling news is second hand fukking sources. By nature, you're gonna get some shyt right and you're gonna get some shyt wrong. I feel he's right more than he's wrong. But he's not perfect. And there's too many wrestlers who have taken up for him, done interviews, expressed flattery at high star ratings etc for what Book said to be true.
I think taking an L to Seth Rollins in 2019 sucks. But what was the dude gonna do if his news was false? Retract and apologize.
