This isn’t as simple as ‘Drake got nothing.’ If iHeart had nothing to hide, why did they hand over documents so quickly? And more importantly—what’s in them?

Clearing iHeart doesn’t clear UMG. Their records might still reveal how NLU was pushed—and whether UMG was pulling the strings. Internal emails, financial records, or promotional strategy documents could provide key insights.

And the timing is worth noting—shortly after this settlement, a judge denied UMG’s request to delay discovery. If UMG had nothing to hide, why are they fighting so hard to stall? Whatever they’re trying to keep buried, we’re about to find out.
A representative for Drake disputed iHeart’s statement Tuesday, saying the company “has not provided a single document as of yet to Drake, let alone any information that showed they did nothing wrong.”

Idk what’s worst for Drake. Losing the petition to prove any wrongdoing and suing your label for absolutely no reason OR realizing them streams was organic for Kendrick and everybody fukked with it way more than your shyt.
where did it say Drake lost the petition ?

Bro, all that means is the judge isn’t going to cancel the initial conference which is when they set dates for discovery. They tried to have it adjourned as a waste of time while the motion is pending and the judge said no. The judge can literally get to the conference and set a discovery schedule that would start after she rules on the motion. This means nothing. She could also tell them at the conference that she is denying the motion (that’s happened to me too).

She could also do what they requested at the conference and schedule another one after a decision has been made. You’re not doing yourself any favors. These aren’t legal wins, they’re procedural hang ups that are not consequential to the case. This is like the people who thought Jay’s lawyer pushing for an earlier motion to dismiss timeline getting denied meant he was in trouble. Judges don’t like to move off their squares. I’ve filed that same letter motion and been denied a bunch of times and then had the case dismissed. Federal courts don’t play and adhere to strict timelines.
Don’t even bother explaining things to these to these laypeople breh it isn’t worth it

Interesting. I originally thought iHeart provided the documents, but since Drake’s team is disputing that, what actually went down behind the scenes isn’t clear.

The only thing we know for sure is that Drake and iHeart reached a settlement. Everything else—whether iHeart really handed over documents or not—feels like a PR battle between Drake’s lawyers and iHeartMedia.

So why did they drop the petition and not go further and strengthen his point and UMG case? Then they immediately made a vague solo statement when the news dropped

A source from iheart immediately goes to a reputable music journalist and say nah it wasn't a settlement they withdrew and they received no money or proof of wrongdoing.

OvO fans in drizzy Reddit immediately tag that on CTHG and breakfast club as the iheart employees for two days and after nobody believes that now a rep comes forward.

Breh Drake pulled this same media shyt with Spotify with and the bots. It's over man.
