Dismissing something as a ‘theory’ doesn’t refute it. What part of my argument do you actually disagree with? iHeart settled—that’s a fact. UMG tried to delay discovery—that’s also a fact. If you think these facts mean nothing, explain why.

It's not a fact, Iheart said that wasn't true. Also known lawyers on this website and YouTube said that's standard procedure what UMG did and drake fans are running with any bit of information they get saying drake is being done dirty. Even tho he is the one who is withdrawing from other cases.
I see what you’re saying, and I get that discovery delays happen in a lot of cases. But the fact remains that iHeart and Drake reached a settlement, even if no wrongdoing was admitted. As for UMG, companies don’t delay discovery unless there’s something worth stalling for. I’m just looking at what we know and thinking through what it could mean. Just discussing on the forum, that’s all.

Again a Iheart rep said there was no settlement of any kind. That comes from rolling stone. Not a Twitter poster with OvO in there or somebody with Kendrick lyrics in there name

iHeart’s rep may not have used the word ‘settlement,’ but they confirmed that Drake dropped his petition after reaching an agreement. That fits the definition of a settlement—legal disputes getting resolved. Even Rolling Stone called it an ‘amicable resolution.’ So what, in your view, would count as a settlement?
