I seen this list the other day and almost threw up. 1 MJ song in the top 100?!?? Since you been gone ahead of I will always love you??!?! 3 Missy Elliot songs in the top 100?!?!? Savage by Megan thee stallion on this period?????!!

Like the people voting on this have to be insane. The have to be. I've seen some terrible lists in my day but this one is by far the worst holy shyt.

No :mjpls: but Rolling Stone having Public Enemy in the top 3 and Missy in the top ten just seems like overcompensating.

Just realized there's not just one but three Missy joints :mjlol: and the fact they got Little Nas the Tenth, Lizzo, Migos, Drake and Cardi B in there :mjlol: stop.

im not even outraged rn bout this shyt

If I did, i would be giving into what POS zines like Stones want.
they live for the anger, and fits thrown over this stuff.

Plus its not like anybody is seriously looking to RS to tell them what is good/the best music or anything:mjlol: nobody GAF what RS thinks

these days I agree, there’s so many other places that people get their musical knowledge and I have never bought a couple or RS in my life but they are still respected as a music magazine so for them to put this list out of insane. At the very least they should pick 5 genres and do a top 100 in each of them. There’s no way you could make anyone happy making a top 500 of all time across all genres.

Savage Remix better than In Da Club :stopitslime: stopped scrolling after that. You’ve got teens born AFTER In Da Club dropped that know it word for word.

Stuff like this is why I’ve stopped reading reviews or caring about awards from white publications. They hear the music but they haven’t got the soul to feel it the way we do so their opinion on black music ain’t shyt :yeshrug:
