Pac wrote to Big in 96 asking to meet up in NY according to Gene Deal. The letter never made it to Big.

They never hated each other. Feelings money and ego got in the way. Pac went overboard and said fukked up shyt with the disses and Big could have shown more loyalty considering Pac helped out Big a lot in the beginning.

They were both about to be free men with their own labels. Not sure if Pac was going to get locked for that Orlando Anderson beatdown, but regardless, I think they were about to do a project together at some point and in 98/99 and the whole game would've been mad different.

Biggie being alive to see the success of Life After Death alone would have really sparked the end of Bad Boy because he'd be wondering where is the fukking money. Especially with the moves Jay was about to start making at Def Jam lol. I don't know how shyt would have played out, nobody does. But Diddy wasn't just gonna let Biggie walk from their deal, which I assume was a typical 5 album contract that may have been extended after Ready To Die's success
I really think Biggie would've seen the tides shifting with DMX and Ruff Ryders killing the Jiggy sound and find some way to get out of Bad Boy once he saw Puff was sticking to his guns and link up with Roc a Fella.

(Also why I've never bought into the Jay wouldn't have blown up with Biggie around shyt. He was never THE guy anyway and was already on the way up due to his heavy Bad Boy affiliation)

I was heavy in the streets around this time, even knowing who clapped Pac that first time a week after it happened (ironically....later learning that the shooter was on Puff's payroll)

The FIRST thing that passed through the same industry mouths who told me what happened at Quad Studios told me that Puff didn't want to pay some crips or bloods....not sure as its been so long...the protection money they asked for. As a result, BIG had no protection while out there and we saw the end result.

I don't buy into Puff having BIG killed...but his neglect GOT BIG killed. Reason why I always felt a way whenever he would sing missing you. shyt used to rub me the wrong way.

Has anyone produced any facts such as how many albums he still owed Bad Boy? You have to question if this is true if I'm being honest. Why the hell would have have been willingly helping Diddy with his solo album if this is true?

And what the lox say? They ain’t coming to his fukkin office whatever he got to say the. Say it live on air lmaoo

I don’t have it backwards that’s exactly how it went
Nah. Puff told them "yall talking about killing this killing that, yall aint killing nobody" and why yall aint talk like this in my face when i just saw yall. Jada straight up said we cant do nothing but go through lawyers, implying they know the street shyt wont work with Puff. So all that tough talk was just jokes because it was no real threat.

Lox were taking the "come to the office" like a threat when Puff just wanted the convo to not be on radio.

I don't like how she treated Cease when he was trying to stand up for Biggie on the radio and how he even said Diddy wasn't doing Biggie mom's right. She got on the radio literally shytting on Cease talking about he need to mind his damn business n all kinda shyt. Meanwhile Cease was telling the truth about Puff and how he was treating her cause she complained prior. I will never forget that and I said she gets what she gets at that point.

When I heard that, I assumed that Ms Wallace and Puff worked something out privately at that point.

This was heavily reported in the media around that time too. I believe MTV news reported that the south side Compton crips were involved because Puff didn’t pay for protection. I think that’s be proven to be false now tho.

Puff’s negligence def got Biggie killed. Gene deal has always said the hit was for puff.

It was in the media way after the learned it. Im speaking days after it happened. And that hit got its intended target. Puff was in another car.

Pac was def going to jail. Beating someone up in a public setting on camera was a clear parole violation. Even without a victim testifying they’d have him on disorderly conduct, associating with felons, and some other shyt.

If Pac had lived we could have had a scenario where he was in jail until 1999 or 2000.
