The draft is an exact science?? Tell that to every team that drafts a can't miss prospect who doesn't live up to expectation! shyt tell that to Tom Brady who got drafted in the 6th round. If the draft was an exact science there would be no undrafted players that become stars, there would be no late round steals!! There are to many variables when picking human beings.

mcclain is NOWHERE as bad a LB as jawalrus was a QB

in fact, mcclain is a good LB. hes just fukked up in the head. he is good against the run, the raiders as a team arent. cant stop the run with one LB in a 4-3

with that said, hes definitely a disappointment. if he gets the legal/mental stuff sorted out I can see him doing well on a more sound defensive team

Back to my point though...The draft is a crap shoot. U can have all the info on a player (Height, Weight, 40 time's, stats, etc.), You can never tell what's in that players mind and body!

How many players have been passed over bc they had a "serious" injury in college, then get to the NFL and that injury never effects them? How many dudes in college never had a injury their entire life and never made the field bc of injuries.

Then u got the whole "character issues" thing. You got tons of players who drop in the draft bc of "character issues" only to be model citizens once in the league...and the vise versa.

2 foster was a beast but had character issues

3 Ryan leaf had character issues but they team make issues for him and picked him

Warner was before my time of looking at tape

Even look at Robert griffin where I had him as a 1st round pick before mcshay or kipper even had him in the 7th round and I based this JUST off his Jr year tape. I had a thread on that and upped it every week
