Interesting. From what I've seen, the right are the ones pushing work requirements for welfare and trying to slash funding. I hear you on the part about working across the aisle but I've always looked at that as more of a misguided attempt at trying to compromise with the right.

Perhaps, but in the process of that "compromise," Democrats are able to get things through that harm us (and the working class more generally) that Republicans could never get through by themselves (unless they have majorities/supermajorities like they have now).
Something that comes to mind immediately is what's been going on in Chicago under Emanuel, a Democrat mayor. Covering up police terrorism against us and closing record numbers of schools
Well I spent the morning watching thesis defenses regarding education. They were able to come up with pretty comprehensive packages in under a year.
So it made me wonder, what does Umar have out there?

Trying to start a K-12 school based on racial separatism and homophobia just isn't going to work in 2017.

He came up with a figure of 4MM. That came from somewhere. It shouldn't be hard for him to show it.
Regarding his education credentials, it's a point of contention and trust for many potential investors or parents if the school gets off the ground. He should be willing and proud to show that off instead of all this, "look me up" or "people are trying to discredit me" rhetoric.
