Roger asks for ridiculous stuff and makes it sound legit, so he can get the players to agree to the shyt he actually wants.

Example - "Wayne Gretzky.....give me your hottest daughter, $15M and season tickets to whatever team I want." Gretzky says "you can have $4M and that's it."

All I really wanted was $1M in the first place but he doesn't know that. They'll give the players some weak azz concession in exchange for something worth wayyyyy more money.

The smartest thing Goodell and the owners did was increasing the league minimum knowing the vast majority of players are on minimum contracts. If 75% of your roster is minimum cats, you got the NFLPA by the balls.

Median (Middle 50%) of players make 860k. Marinate on that.

Owners don't care about shorter careers, parity ensures there are never too many blowouts.
