"The Falcons are flying high with a 3-0 start, and Roddy White was not afraid to declare him and Julio Jones a better receiving duo better than the Giants' Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz.
According to NJ.com, White will will appear in an NFL Network interview with Cowboys great Michael Irvin on Sunday morning. In it he is asked if White and Jones are better than Cruz and Nicks.
Victor Cruz is a lot more of a slot receiver; the big boys play on the outside, White said.
Cruz was alerted to those comments by NJ.com and fired back at White.
"I couldn't care less about what anybody else has to say," Cruz told the site. "I got a ring back at home. I don't care about what Roddy White has to say."
One step on the way to that ring was a 24-2 win over the Falcons in the wild-card round last season. The teams meet again in Week 15 in Atlanta."
Please don't body yourself dirty birds we going to get at you week 15 . Give you some salsa to go with our chips
Cruz is a Super Bowl champ...get ya rings up playa
Roddy White is one of the most talented receivers in the L, no doubt, but I would take Cruz's versatility over Whites talent. Furthermore, I think Cruz has a higher ceiling than White, Cruz is only in his 2nd year as a starter and he's one of the most elusive receivers in the L. Further more Victor Cruz has much better hands than Roddy.
I've always been curious as to how exactly a QB can make a receiver better than they are.
Seems like most just arbitrarily pick and choose who makes who better based on who they like
Especially considering that those aren't the only factors that make a WR good.
Get them the ball where they can make the play. Some QB's can't even get their WR's the ball. Some QB's like Ryan can get them the ball but can't get them the ball where they can get YAC. Eli can do it all. That's why his WR's have big numbers.
Or maybe his WR have big numbers because his WRs are good and he's good. He was doing well, but not as well statistically when he had Burress and Toomer.
